Elizabeth M. Cox, PhD, is a strategic leader with extensive executive experience in student housing, organizational development, and higher education. She has held senior leadership roles at Georgia Tech, Emory University, and Basecamp Student GmbH in Europe, overseeing large-scale housing operations, student engagement initiatives, and institutional change efforts. With expertise in leadership development, change management, and strategic planning, Elizabeth has guided teams through complex transitions, developed innovative residential education models, and enhanced operational efficiency. A skilled facilitator and thought leader, she brings a global perspective on leadership, housing trends, and organizational excellence to the podcast space.

Andrea J. Trinklein

Andrea J. Trinklein, former Assistant VP of Campus Life at Emory University, has 30+ years of housing experience. She holds a PhD in administration, curriculum, and instruction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Active in ACPA and ACUHO-I, she led initiatives in program planning, internships, and public policy. A prolific speaker, she has presented 80+ sessions on sustainability, master planning, and leadership. She has also contributed to student housing publications.

At Emory, Andrea helped design six LEED-certified residence halls and became a LEED Accredited Professional in 2009. She has also taught leadership and management courses. Now retired, she stays active as an interim director, photographer, and outdoor enthusiast, enjoying life in Lakeland with her spouse and two energetic dogs.

Cathy Bickel

Cathy Bickel retired in January 2022 after 35 years working in housing and residence life. Her last 23 years were spent at Ball State University as the Associate Director of Housing and Residence Life and a faculty member in the Student Affairs graduate program. Since retiring she has worked two interim housing positions at Wellesley and Dartmouth Colleges.

Mary Janz

Mary Janz is the Executive Director of Housing and Residence Life/Sorority and Fraternity Life at Marquette University, with over 30 years in student housing. A dedicated professional, she actively contributes to ACUHO-I and her community. Recognized with numerous awards, including the ACUHO-I Presidential Service Award (2024) and a Lifetime Achievement Award from Eastern Illinois University (2022), she has led key initiatives in workforce sustainability and professional development. A first-generation college graduate with degrees from Eastern Illinois University, she has worked at multiple urban universities and remains passionate about leadership, mentorship, and workplace well-being.
